CompanionLink recently announced support for sync with the new HTC DROID INCREDIBLE. Since its release on Thursday, a small number of users are experiencing problems with the USB sync. The problem has to do with the fact that CompanionLink syncs data to the MicroSD memory card in the device. Previous Android devices have included a memory card out of the box, while the DROID INCREDIBLE does not. Users experiencing this issue can resolve this immediately by inserting a memory card into their DROID INCREDIBLE. CompanionLink will release an update shortly that will allow Android devices without a memory card to use the device’s internal memory to hold sync data. More information, as well as a 14-day trial of the desktop sync software, can be found at www.companionlink.com/phones/htc-incredible.html

Sync the new HTC DROID INCREDIBLE with your PC
The newest Android phone on the market is the HTC DROID INCREDIBLE with HTC Sense UI. This beast features all the latest hardware, including an 8-megapixel camera and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The DROID INCREDIBLE sports a 3.7″ AMOLED screen, and runs Android 2.1. The DROID INCREDIBLE comes with HTC Sync out of the box to synchronize contacts and calendar with Microsoft Outlook. CompanionLink extends the sync functionality of the DROID INCREDIBLE by offering full support for contacts, calendar, tasks and notes, as well as the option for wireless sync.
CompanionLink synchronizes from PC to the DROID INCREDIBLE in two ways – secure wired sync and automatic wireless sync via Google. CompanionLink’s wired USB sync with DROID INCREDIBLE works through an Android app that runs on the phone. The app has custom calendar, tasks, and notes modules, while contacts sync to the native contact database on the DROID INCREDIBLE. CompanionLink’s wireless sync to DROID INCREDIBLE via Google lets people sync contacts and calendar data to Google, which then syncs to the phone through its wireless data connection. Two-way sync is supported in both methods so that changes made on the phone are updated on the PC upon synchronization.
PC software such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Business Contact Manager, IBM Lotus Notes, ACT! by Sage, Novell GroupWise, and Palm Desktop are supported. CompanionLink also supports the newest 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Outlook 2010. CompanionLink’s solutions are available for a one-time cost starting at $39.95. Free telephone support is included. More details and a 14-day evaluation version of the software are available at www.companionlink.com.

The update is free to all CompanionLink for Google customers. To update your software, visit https://www.companionlink.com/downloads/updates.html to download the newest version of your software.

CompanionLink Support Notice for DEVOUR and CLIQ
Motorola DEVOUR and CLIQ use a technology called MOTOBLUR. While our software syncs contact data correctly to these phones, MOTOBLUR impedes the “viewability” of the data so it appears that contacts have not synchronized over correctly.
We recommend all DEVOUR and CLIQ users sync their contacts wirelessly through Google using CompanionLink for Google and not via direct USB sync. We are currently working on a solution to the problem, and will post a notification once the fix is available.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Any questions or comments can be directed to support@companionlink.com

CompanionLink offers ACT! to iPhone wireless sync service
ACT! by Sage users who also own an iPhone can use both technologies as part of their business workflow. CompanionLink offers ACT! to iPhone synchronization that allows for two-way wireless transfer of ACT! contacts, activities, to-dos, notes, histories and opportunities. CompanionLink also allows ACT! users to link activities and notes to contacts for optimal organization of business data between ACT! and iPhone.
CompanionLink offers two ways to synchronize data between ACT! and iPhone – wired USB sync and wireless sync. Wired USB sync transfers contacts and calendar data between ACT! and iPhone using Outlook and iTunes. Wireless sync between ACT! and iPhone can be configured in one of two methods – sync via Google or sync via CompanionLink’s wireless sync service. Sync via Google requires a Google account to hold ACT! data, and the Google Sync service to transfer data over-the-air. Sync via CompanionLink’s wireless service transfers data directly between ACT! and iPhone.
A 14-day evaluation version of the ACT! to iPhone wireless sync software is available at www.companionlink.com/iphone.
