Sync Outlook categories to your phone

Sync Outlook categories to iPhone and Android

Microsoft Outlook Categories provide a great way to organize a large amount of data by breaking things down into smaller, more manageable groups. Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users can benefit from this level of organization as well. Even a few hundred contacts, calendars, tasks, and notes synced to your device can be difficult to manage without using categories. Separating data into manageable groups is a key factor for mobile productivity. Additionally, color-coded categories enable you to interpret data at a glance. All this equates to you being more productive while mobile.

CompanionLink for Outlook, combined with the free DejaOffice app for Android and Apple devices, allows users to map Outlook Categories to their devices. This process not only preserves existing Outlook categories, but the colors you've assigned to each category as well. For specific details on all the features DejaOffice brings to your handheld, visit www.dejaoffice.com.

If you are ready to begin syncing your Outlook Categories to your device, follow these simple steps:

  1. Download and install CompanionLink for Outlook on your PC.
  2. Android: Visit the Android Market on your device and search for DejaOffice.
Apple: Visit the App Store on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad and search for DejaOffice.
  3. Open the CompanionLink for Outlook program on your PC. At this point, you'll need to decide if you want to sync via USB, Wi-Fi or using the CompanionLink Secure Hosted Wireless service. Note: Syncing via Google does not fully support Outlook categories. Direct USB Sync is not available for syncing Outlook Categories to Apple devices.
