The Main Dota 2 Events in February 2023

The second month of 2023 will please fans of Dota 2 esports tournaments and the MOBA discipline by Valve with matches of the second division of DPC 2023 Tour 1, BTS Pro Series Season 14, and the first Major of the season, The Lima Major 2023, will be the main event of the month. DPC 2023 Tour 1: Division II

While the teams, which qualified for the Major tournament in Peru, are preparing for the main Dota 2 event of winter and packing their clothes, clubs fight in the second division for the right to perform among the best representatives of the esports scene in such regions as Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America, and South America.

8 teams participate in each region. They play Dota 2 matches in the Single Round-Robin format. In total, the prize pool of $75,000 and 2 slots in the first division is up for grabs. The bottom two teams will be eliminated from the gaming season and will have to pass open qualifiers for the right to return to the second division. All regions will determine the best ones in the second half of February.

BTS Pro Series Season 14

The 14th season of the tournament series by the studio Beyond The Summit will traditionally take place in two regions, Southeast Asia and the Americas. But this time, the format of the competitions will be different in both regions. It will be a nice practice before The Lima Major for some teams.

BTS Pro Series Season 14: Americas

15 teams will participate in America. The tournament is divided into 3 stages. The first and third stages will be hosted in a Double-Elimination bracket and the second stage will be carried out in one Single Round-Robin group. All matches will be held online.

Esports clubs from North and South America will be fighting for the prize pool of $40,000. The winner of the grand final, which is set to be played in the form of the bo5 series, will grab the main prize of $16,000.

BTS Pro Series Season 14: Southeast Asia

The number of participants in Southeast Asia will be equal to 12 teams. Initially, the teams will participate in the group stage, the format of which will be a Single Round-Robin, and they will be fighting in a Double-Elimination bracket after that. The final of the tournament — Bo5.

Compared to America, the prize pool has decreased by $500 and now amounts to $39,500. The champion of BTS Pro Series Season 14: Southeast Asia will also earn $16,000.

The Lima Major

Dota 2 tournaments in the Major series will finally go to South America. 4D Esports and Epulze are organizing the event. Arena 1 in Lima, Peru, will be the venue. 18 best teams from all over the world will be competing for $500,000 of prize money and 1,900 DPC points, which are required to make it to the main event of the year, The International 2023. The winner will earn the main prize of $200,000 and 400 DPC points.
