How to Share monday Contacts board with your Team PCs and Devices

When you use monday Contact Boards with a team you want an easy way to share these boards with all of your team members. Setting up sync to a personal account (iCloud, Google, etc) can mix your Work Contacts with your Personal Contacts. This guide will outline methods to keep these contacts separate from your personal data.

Creating a Team iCloud Account

To keep your Team's personal contacts separate from the work contacts, you can create a new iCloud account that each team member then connects to their device. Use iCloud if all team members are iPhone\iPad users.

  1. Click Here to create an iCloud account.
  2. Once you have the account created you will need an App Password for iCloud for Sync. Click Here for our guide on creating an App Password for iCloud.
  3. Connect the iCloud account to each Team Members Apple device. Click Here for a guide on connecting iCloud to Apple devices.
  4. See below for Syncing Selected Boards to Team Members to setup sync to the Team iCloud Account.
  • Note: When connecting the account you only need to enable Contacts in the iCloud connection settings.




Creating a Team Google Account

To keep your Team's personal contacts separate from the work contacts, you can create a new Google account that each team member then connects to their device. Google Accounts\Contacts will connect to Android and Apple devices.

  1. Click Here to create a Google account.
  2. Connect the Google account to each Team Members Device. Click Here for a guide on connecting Google to Apple devices. Click Here for a guide on connecting Google to Android devices.
  3. See below for Syncing Selected Boards to Team Members to setup sync to the Team iCloud Account.
  • Note: When connecting the account you only need to enable Contacts in the iCloud connection settings.


Creating a Team DejaCloud Account

To keep your Team's personal contacts separate from the work contacts, you can create a new DejaCloud account that each team member then connects to their device using DejaOffice. The DejaOffice app will connect to Android and Apple devices.

  1. Create a DejaCloud account. Click Here to create an account.
  2. Install DejaOffice for Android or DejaOffice for iPhone.
  3. Follow the setup wizard, selecting DejaCloud as the Sync Method.
  4. Connect the same DejaCloud account to each device in DejaOffice.

Syncing Selected Boards to Team Members

If you only have one monday Contact Board that all team members should share, first be sure you have an account for the team to use (See Above). Then:

  1. Install the latest CompanionLink Professional. Click Here to Download.
  2. Once installed, open CompanionLink Setup.
  3. Select your Database and Sync Destination (either can be monday.com).
  4. Select your Database and Sync Destination (either can be monday.com). Click Here for our Guide on CompanionLink monday settings.
  5. In the monday settings be sure to select both the Contact Board and the Group you want to sync for the team.
  6. In the From\With Settings (Google, iCloud, DejaCloud, etc) be sure to enter the login for the team member you want to sync.
  7. Return to the main CompanionLink menu and Sync.
  8. Each team member will need to connect the Account you created to their mobile device. This will keep the data separate from their personal data.








CompanionLink Professional for Multiple Syncs using Profiles

If you have multiple team members and want a specific monday Contact Board to each team member CompanionLink Professional supports up to 5 unique syncs with Profiles. You can request more sync profiles from our sales team. Use the following steps to setup profiles.

  1. Install the latest CompanionLink Professional. Click Here to Download.
  2. Once installed, open CompanionLink. It will open to the first profile by default.
  3. Select your Database and Sync Destination (either can be monday.com). Click Here for our Guide on CompanionLink monday settings.
  4. In the monday settings be sure to select both the Contact Board and the Group you want to sync for this team member\profile.
  5. In the From\With Settings (Google, iCloud, DejaCloud, etc) be sure to enter the login for the team member you want to sync.
  6. Return to the main CompanionLink Menu and select the Profiles drop down at the top. Click Here for our Guide on Profiles.
  7. In the profiles management screen Click Add Profile. Repeat the steps above for the next Team Member.
  • Note: You might want to Rename Each Profile as you create it to identify each one per team member.
