Configuring ACT! Settings in CompanionLink

To configure your PIM in your CompanionLink Setup, select Settings under Act! Premium Cloud:

1. URL: Enter the URL for your Act! Premium Cloud. The best way to find this is to navigate to the web page where you log in to your Act! Premium Cloud. You will only need the base URL, the database name, and then add "Act.Web.API". Example:

  • If your Act! login URL looks like this:
https://usp1-iis-14.hosted1.act.com/S217190531/default.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fS21719053112
Remove the ending and replace with Act.Web.API - enter this in CompanionLink:
https://usp1-iis-14.hosted1.act.com/S217190531/Act.Web.API


  • If your Act! login URL looks like this:
https://master5.hosted1.act.com/Z34266653453/
Use this URL:
https://master5.hosted1.act.com/Z34266653453-api/Act.Web.API


2. If you are using an MTA Act! Premium Cloud and sign in at My.Act.com, use one of these URLS:

If your Act! login looks like this:
https://my.act.com/en-us/myact
Put this value in the CompanionLink URL:
https://apius.act.com/act.web.api

Note - For this second case, if apius.act.com does not work, you can try my.act.com instead.

2. Database Name: Enter the name of your Act! Premium Cloud database. This should be the top box at the log in to the Premium Cloud. This may also be in Help > About ACT, when logged in.

3. Username: Enter the Username for your Act! Database.

4. Password: Enter the Password for your Act! Database.

  • Note: Sync with Act! Premium Cloud is not as robust as a direct sync with a local copy of Act!. If your Act! Premium Cloud is linked to a local Act! Database, we recommend you sync with the Local install of Act!. For the local Act! configuration guide click Here
