  1. If you are unable to Sign in to Google with the above steps, the Manual OAuth Process will provide an alternative method for allowing CompanionLink to access Google. Typically this will not be necessary.
  2. If you only want to sync the default calendar you would select this option. This is the main calendar that comes with every Google Account.
  3. Google allows the creation of multiple calendars. If you wish to synchronize the content of all your calendars you would select this option.
  4. If you wish to only synchronize specific calendars you would select this option and then choose the corresponding calendar.
  5. If you are syncing to multiple calendars you would specify the specific calendar you wish the information to sync to by default here.
  6. Google does not support categorization as some databases do, this option can sync an assigned color category of an event in your database (if your database supports this) to an Event Color in Google.

Using Tasks in the Google Calendar

Google's updated Task system allows you to quickly add tasks to the Google either via the Web Calendar or directly from your Google Email page. By default Google Calendar sets the Tasks to a Reminder calendar. To manage Tasks in the Google Calendar you will need to change the Reminder Calendar to the Tasks Calendar.

1. Sign into your Google calendar here.

2. On the left, place your mouse over the Reminders calendar and click the three dots.

  • Google has just released a new Tasks app. CompanionLink for Google can populate this directly from your Outlook Tasks.

1. Open CompanionLink.
2. Click Settings on the left.
3. At the bottom of the page put a check in "Modern Colors"
