Using DejaOffice PC CRM with Act!, GoldMine, Outlook and Franklin Covey Style

DejaOffice PC CRM offers several CRM Styles which automatically adjust some of the PC CRM's options to give you the feel of the selected CRM Style. DPC currently offers CRM Styles for Act!, Goldmine, Outlook, Getting Things Done (GTD), Palm Desktop, Franklin Covey and PHONESlips. Check below for what Settings each style sets.

  • Note: These options can be changed after selecting a CRM Style, but selecting a different CRM Style will reset the options.


Act! CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting Act! CRM Style. The most notable are the use of "Activity Types" in Calendar (Call, Meet, To-Do, etc) and the "Completion Dialogue" which opens a history record when completing any Calendar event or To-do.

  1. Contact Settings - Enables "Next Action Panel".
  2. Memo Settings - Disables "Use Memo Application".
  3. History Settings - Enables "Use History Application".
  4. History Settings - Enables "Use Followups".
  5. History Settings - Enables "Use Completion Dialog".
  6. Calendar Settings - Enables "Use Calendar Icons for Activity Types".
  7. Calendar Settings - Enables "Use Calendar Icons".
  8. Calendar Settings - Enables "Use Strikethrough" in Calendar.
  9. Task Settings - Enables "Use Strikethrough" in Tasks.
  10. Task Settings - Sets Task Priority Style to "Basic: High, Medium, Low".


Outlook CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting Outlook CRM Style. The most notable is the "Basic (High, Medium, Low) Task Priorities".

  1. Contact Settings - Disables "Next Action Panel".
  2. Memo Settings - Enables "Use Memo Application".
  3. History Settings - Disables "Use History Application".
  4. History Settings - Disables "Use Completion Dialog".
  5. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Activity Types".
  6. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Calendar Icons".
  7. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Calendar.
  8. Task Settings - Enables "Use Strikethrough" in Tasks.
  9. Task Settings - Sets Priority Style to "Basic (High, Medium, Low)".


Getting Things Done (GTD) CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting Getting Things Done (GTD) CRM Style. The most notable are the use of "Projects" in Contacts and the Weekly Planner in Calendar.

  1. Contact Settings - Enables "Project Application".
  2. Contacts - Added new contact record type "Project".
  3. Changes "Week View" to "Weekly Planner" and enables the Task View by default.
  4. Defaults Category Filter and Selection to Multi Select.


Palm Desktop CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting Palm Desktop CRM Style. The most notable is the "Numeric (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) Task Priorities".

  1. Contact Settings - Disables Next Action Panel.
  2. Memo Settings - Enables "Use Memo Application".
  3. History Settings - Disables "Use History Application".
  4. History Settings - Disables "Use Completion Dialog".
  5. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Activity Types".
  6. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Calendar Icons".
  7. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Calendar.
  8. Task Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Tasks.
  9. Task Settings - Task Priority Style set to "Numeric (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)".


Franklin Covey CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting Franklin Covey CRM Style. The most notable is the use of "Franklin Covey (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, etc..) Task Priorities".

  1. Contact Settings - Disables Next Action Panel.
  2. Memo Settings - Enables "Use Memo Application".
  3. History Settings - Disables "Use History Application".
  4. History Settings - Disables "Use Completion Dialog".
  5. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Activity Types".
  6. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Calendar Icons".
  7. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Calendar.
  8. Task Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Tasks.
  9. Task Settings - Task Priority Style set to "Franklin Covey (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, etc..)".


GoldMine CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting GoldMine CRM Style. The most notable are the use of "Activity Types" in Calendar (Call, Meet, To-Do, etc) and the "Completion Dialogue" which opens a history record when completing any Calendar event or To-do.

  1. Contact Settings - Enables Next Action Panel.

DejaOffice CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting DejaOffice CRM Style. The this style uses "Basic (High, Medium, Low) Task Priorities".

  1. Contact Settings - Disables Next Action Panel.
  2. Memo Settings - Enables "Use Memo Application".
  3. History Settings - Disables "Use History Application".
  4. History Settings - Disables "Use Completion Dialog".
  5. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Activity Types".
  6. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Calendar Icons".
  7. Calendar Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Calendar.
  8. Task Settings - Disables "Use Strikethrough" in Tasks.
  9. Task Settings - Task Priority Style set to "Basic (High, Medium, Low)".


PHONESlips CRM Style

The following options are automatically set when selecting PHONESlips CRM Style.

  1. Alarm Settings - Notification Style is set to Detail Mode (Individual Alarm Popups for each Event\Call\Task).
  2. Alarm Settings - Enables the "Alarm Sound" option to play a tone when an Alarm Notification appears.
  3. Enables User checking when in Multi-User mode to show when assigned user was last logged in.
  4. History Settings - Disables "Use History Application".
  5. Database Settings - Enables "Notify" logic for Multi-User mode for Events\Tasks and Memos when scheduling for other users.
