Date Range Limitations

Some sync destinations limit the "Past Calendar" data which is out side of CompanionLink's control. Check the following list for limitations:

Android:

  1. DejaOffice Calendar - There is no date range limit for "Past Calendar" when syncing with the DejaCalendar.
  2. Native Calendar App (via Google) - CompanionLink can directly populate the Google Calendar with past calendar entries as far back as the Date Range setting is set. There is a limit of 1 years worth of Past Calendar that Google will allow to sync to the Android Calendar. This limitation is between Google and the Android Calendar, CompanionLink can not overcome this limitation.
  3. Native Calendar App (via DejaOffice) - There is no date range limit for Past Calendar when the Android Calendar is populated via the DejaOffice Native Calendar sync. Please note the Android Calendar is not as fully featured as the DejaOffice App calendar and syncing with the Android Calendar app using a large calendar database can slow DejaOffice down.
  4. Outlook App (via Exchange) - There is no date range limit for "Past Calendar" for the Outlook App when calendar is synced via Exchange. Calendar search in the Outlook App does appear to be limited to 1 year for past entries.

iPhone and iPad:

  1. DejaOffice Calendar - There is no date range limit for "Past Calendar" when syncing with the DejaCalendar.
  2. Native Calendar App (via Google) - CompanionLink can directly populate the Google Calendar with past calendar entries as far back as the Date Range setting is set. This limitation is between Google and the Apple Calendar, CompanionLink can not overcome this limitation.
  3. Native Calendar App (via DejaOffice) - There is no date range limit for Past Calendar when the Apple Calendar is populated via the DejaOffice Native Calendar sync. Please note the Apple Calendar is not as fully featured as the DejaOffice App calendar and syncing with the Apple Calendar app using a large calendar database can slow DejaOffice down.
  4. Outlook App (via Exchange) - There is no date range limit for "Past Calendar" for the Outlook App when calendar is synced via Exchange. Calendar search in the Outlook App does appear to be limited to 1 year for past entries.

Google:

  1. PC Database to Google Calendar (via Web) - There are no limitations on the amount of Past Calendar that CompanionLink can sync from your database directly to the Google Calendar (google.com/calendar).
  2. Google Calendar to Mobile - There is a built in limit (by Google) from the Google Calendar to any Mobile Devices of 1 year. If you view your Google calendar via the Web, all events included in the Date Range option will appear, but only 1 year worth of past events will appear in the Google Calendar app on the Mobile device. CompanionLink does not control this side of the sync. If you need to see more of your Past Calendar, we recommend syncing with DejaOffice.
