The change that Google made affects specific fields for Contacts. Our workaround involves temporarily disabling those Contact fields.

  1. Open CompanionLink
  2. Select 'Advanced'
  3. Select 'Field Mapping'
  4. For 'Select the most appropriate fields for', choose 'Miscellaneous"
  5. Set each available field on this page to 'No Mapping.'

Next:

  1. While still on the 'Field Mapping' tab, choose 'URL fields" from the top drop down menu next to 'Select the most appropriate fields for'
  2. Make sure each field here is set to 'No Mapping.'
  3. Click 'Ok'

This will allow you to perform a Google synchronization using CompanionLink 5.0 and 6.0.
