ERSP: Contact count discrepancies between Outlook and CompanionLink
[AB45188] Relatively small differences in the contact count reported by Outlook and the contact account reported by CompanionLink Setup are not uncommon even when everything is working properly. The potential major causes for this are that you have either distribution lists or duplicate contacts in Outlook.
In regards to distribution lists (a.k.a. contact groups), these will appear in the Outlook count, but are not synced by CompanionLink.
In regards to duplicates, if you have any records in Outlook that are exactly the same the second of these records will likely be excluded by CompanionLink's de-duping logic, thus causing a difference in the count.
