DejaOffice PC CRM Outlook Add-in Guide

Introducing the DejaOffice PC CRM Outlook Add-in. This Add-in provides quick access to creating Contacts, Events, Tasks, Memos, and History items directly from Outlook Emails. The Add-in Panel also allows for quick follow-up events and tasks, as well as a contact detail panel to easily view associated contacts.

Setting up the Outlook Add-in


On a new install of DejaOffice PC CRM, the Outlook Add-in will be enabled be default. Simply install the DejaOffice PC CRM and the Add-in will appear in Outlook as it's own panel.

To enable the Outlook Add-in manually:

  1. Open DejaOffice PC CRM.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select General Settings.
  4. Put a check in the Use Outlook Add-in" box.

  • Note: If Outlook is currently open, you may need to close and reopen it for the Add-in to load.

Using the Outlook Add-in

Creating an Event, Task, Memo or History item from an Outlook Email - You can create a new Event, Task, Memo, or History item from any Outlook email by dragging the email from your inbox directly to the Calendar, Task, Memo, or History option within the DejaOffice PC CRM Add-in Panel in Outlook. When you drop the email a DejaOffice PC CRM creation page will appear with the appropriate fields filled from the dropped email.

Creating a new Contact from an Outlook Email - When an email is selected in Outlook and this contact does not already exist in your Database, an option to "Create Contact" will appear in the DejaOffice Outlook Add-in Panel.

If a contact does exist from the sender of the email a details panel will appear with relevant information about that record.

Quickly open the DejaOffice PC CRM Calendar, Tasks, Notes or History - You can directly open any of the DejaOffice PC CRM data sets by clicking the corresponding data type in the DejaOffice PC CRM Add-in Panel. IE: Clicking Contacts will open the DejaOffice PC CRM Contacts list, Calendar will open the Calendar, etc.



If you have enabled the Outlook Add-in, but still do not see the DejaOffice PC CRM Add-in Panel in Outlook, check the following to ensure Outlook has not disabled it:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click File in the top left.
  3. Find Options and select it.
  4. Select Add-ins on the left menu.
  5. Choose "Go" at the bottom.
  6. Put a check next to "DejaOffice PC CRM Outlook Add-in"

Click Ok twice and the DejaOffice PC CRM Outlook Add-in panel should appear on the right side of Outlook.
