DejaOffice PC CRM Device Settings

During the Setup Wizard, after selecting your Device as one of the following, click Settings below the selection to access these sync specific options. If you have already completed the Setup Wizard these options can be accessed at any time under the DejaOffice PC CRM Settings and then choosing Sync Settings.

Android via USB

General Tab

  1. Personal Category: This option enables the syncing of items in the Personal category. If you do not want data categorized in the Personal Category to sync, you can uncheck this option.
  2. Startup: This option allows the DejaOffice PC CRM sync to run at the computer start.
  3. Completed Tasks: Enabling this option syncs Completed Tasks to\from the Android to DejaOffice PC CRM.
  4. Attachments: This option allows for the synchronization of Contact\Event Attachments.


Calendar Tab

  1. Date Range: This option allows you to set a date range for previous calendar days. By default this will be set to 90 days, to sync older calendar entries, adjust this to a higher number of days.


Applications Tab

  1. Data Types to Sync - This option allows you to select which data types to synchronize. (i.e. contacts, calendar, task, notes, journals)
  2. Sync Directions - This option allows you to set the sync direction. (i.e. DejaOffice PC CRM to Android; Android to DejaOffice PC CRM; Sync both ways)
  3. Wipe Options - This option will wipe/delete all the Android data first, then reload the Device using DejaOffice PC CRM Data.
  4. Deletion Preferences - This option allows you to choose a Primary Database for deletions.
  • If you select DejaOffice PC CRM as your primary database, and you delete content on your device the content would remain in DejaOffice PC CRM.
  • If you select the Android as the Primary Database, and you delete content in DejaOffice PC CRM the content would remain in the Android .
  • If you select Records Deleted in Either will be synchronized, content deleted in either DejaOffice PC CRM or the Android will be deleted on the other side.
Note - Always use caution with any wipe option. We always recommend you have a copy of your data backed up.
Reread - These advanced options are typically reserved for troubleshooting and do not need to be changed.


Advanced Settings

  1. Auto Sync:
  • Realtime - This option detects changes added to the selected Database and adds them to\from the Device within a few seconds.
  • Every - This option sets an auto sync at an interval of your choosing.
  • Daily - This option sets an auto sync for once a day at the selected time.
  • Manual - This option allows you to control the CompanionLink sync manually.
Note - When using USB, as the sync must be started from the device side, we recommend you leave Auto sync set to manual.
2. Sync Time - This option allows you to further specify when the selected auto sync can take place.
3. Language - This option allows you to set CompanionLink to a different language.
  • For the language change to take full effect you many need to close and reopen CompanionLink.



Android via Wifi

Wifi Settings Tab

  1. Pair Device: This option will attempt to automatically Pair your Android with the PC. After setting DejaOffice on the Android to Wifi sync, click Pair Device in DejaOffice PC CRM and then tap Sync in DejaOffice on the Android. When you get the Prompt about "Device Detected", click Yes to Pair.
  2. Enter IP: If we are unable to automatically pair your device. You can enter the Device Name and IP manually. To find these in DejaOffice on the Android, open the app, tap Settings, tap Sync Settings and select Wifi Settings. Enter the IP and Device name listed here into the IP and Device name box in the DejaOffice PC CRM settings (Entering these manually you will not need to click Pair Device).
  • Note: To sync via Wifi, your Android must be connected to the same Wifi network as the PC.

Note - When using Wifi, the auto sync is limited, as DejaOffice on the Android must be running in the background of the phone for the auto sync to make a connection. If the DejaOffice app is not open, the sync will not be able to connect.

3. Language - This option allows you to set CompanionLink to a different language.
  • For the language change to take full effect you many need to close and reopen CompanionLink.



Android via DejaCloud

DejaCloud Setup

  1. Setting Up the Sync (Skip this Section if you are currently in the Setup Wizard)
  2. Go to DejaOffice PC CRM > Settings > Sync Settings
  3. Choose DejaCloud in the Mobile Phone or Tablet drop down
  4. Click The Settings button underneath DejaCloud, enter your DejaCloud Login and Password then Press Okay
  5. If you need to create a DejaCloud account you can do so here (New accounts receive a free 14 day trial automatically): https://sync.dejacloudsync.com/account/create.php
  6. If you need to reset your DejaCloud password you can do so here: https://sync.dejacloudsync.com/account/resetPassword.php

Apple via USB

User ID Tab

  1. User Name: If your iPhone\iPad is currently connected, this box should list your device's Name (as it appears in iTunes). If this box is blank, be sure you have iTunes installed and you have connected the iPhone\iPad to it at least once. For USB sync the PC must be allowed access to the device via iTunes.

After setting DejaOffice on the iPhone\iPad to Wifi sync, click Pair Device in DejaOffice PC CRM and then tap Sync in DejaOffice on the iPhone\iPad. When you get the Prompt about "Device Detected", click Yes to Pair.
  2. Enter IP: If we are unable to automatically pair your device. You can enter the IP manually. To find this open DejaOffice on the iPhone\iPad and tap Sync. This will display the IP address of the iPhone\iPad at the bottom of DejaOffice. Enter the IP listed here into the IP box in the DejaOffice PC CRM settings (Entering these manually you will not need to click Pair Device).
  • Note: To sync via Wifi, your Android must be connected to the same Wifi network as the PC.
