Combined Install for PC CRM and Sync

Previously in DejaOffice PC CRM v1 you needed to Install the PC CRM (the database tool) and you wanted to have Sync you also needed to install CompanionLink Separately. With version 2 the Sync and the CRM have been combined so you no longer need to install two programs. If you are using DejaOffice PC CRM v1, the version 2 installer will detect this and automatically migrate all sync settings. Once this is complete you no longer need "CompanionLink" on the PC, just the version 2 of the DejaOffice PC CRM.

To update to the PC CRM version 2, first make sure you have a version 2 license or a recent purchase of v1 that is elidable for a free upgrade to version 2. Click Here to check your license.

Installing the PC CRM version 2 on a New PC for Sync
To install Version 2 with integrated sync, use the Version 2 installer from the Downloads Page.

  1. Download the latest version of the PC CRM Version 2 from the Downloads page.
  2. Follow the prompts from the Installer.
  3. Open the PC CRM and Follow the Setup Wizard to setup the Sync. Or select the Settings > Sync Settings and setup sync from here.


Upgrade a Version 1 PC CRM
To upgrade to version 2 with integrated sync, use the Version 2 installer from the Downloads Page. Just install over the existing version 1 and it will automatically transfer all sync settings.

  1. Download the latest version of the PC CRM Version 2 from the Downloads page.
  2. Follow the prompts from the Installer.


That's it! The Sync settings and PC CRM will be updated and the sync is now internally controlled via the PC CRM and no longer needs to be updated separately.

Uninstall CompanionLink after Version 2 Upgrade

If you are using the version 2 and the integrated sync you no longer need CompanionLink on the PC. You can remove this just leaving the PC CRM. To do this:

  1. Click the Start Menu of Windows and select Settings.
  2. Select Apps and choose Installed Apps.
  3. Find CompanionLink on the List, click the 3 dots on the right and choose Uninstall.


Going forward, the single file update to the PC CRM v2 will also update the internal sync.
