Please note: CompanionLink has two different USB methods to synchronize to Android.

  • Direct USB (Mass Storage Mode)
  • ADB Mode

We recommend the USB Direct method for most customers. It is more reliable, and does not require an ADB Driver installation. Please try this method first.

If you cannot synchronize using Direct USB, here is a guide to download ADB drivers for Sync using ADB Mode.

USB drivers are required for ADB Mode. To install them:

1. Disconnect your Android phone from your PC.

2. Download and install the ADB Mode driver: https://www.companionlink.com/files/special/DejaConnectADB.exe

3. Turn on USB debugging on your Android device:

When ADB Mode is selected in DejaOffice as the method of sync, tap the "Enable Debugging" pop up and ensure USB Debugging is checked\the slider is set to On.
  • For Older DejaOffice versions, USB Debugging can also be enabled through the Android Settings:
Android 2.x - 3.x devices: Go to Settings > Applications > Development > Enable USB debugging. (More Info)
Android 4.x devices: Go to Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB debugging. (More Info)

4. Reconnect your Android device to your PC.

NOTE: For the Samsung Galaxy S4 running 4.2.2, you may need to unlock Developer Options before it is available within the Menu:

  1. Go to Android home screen.
  2. Pull down the notification bar.
  3. Tap "Settings"
  4. Tap "About Device"
  5. Tap on the "Build Number" button about 7 times.
  6. Developer Mode should now be unlocked and available in Settings > More > Developer Options

NOTE: For LG Android 4.0 devices, you may also need to set the device's PC connection to "Internet connection":

  1. Go to Android home screen.
  2. Pull down the notification bar.
  3. Tap on the connection mode (it's marked with a USB icon).
  4. Tap on "Internet connection".
