How It Works - Sync via Outlook
CompanionLink will sync Palm Desktop data with Microsoft Outlook. Your Windows Mobile device will sync with Outlook via ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center.

What You Need
- CompanionLink for Palm Desktop on your PC.
- Palm Desktop.
- Microsoft Outlook 2000 or higher on your PC.
- ActiveSync (Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Windows 7/Vista) installed on your PC.
- A Windows Mobile* device.

Getting Started
- Install CompanionLink on your PC and configure it to sync to Microsoft Outlook.
- Configure ActiveSync / Windows Mobile Device Center to sync your device with Outlook.
- Begin synchronization within CompanionLink. Once CompanionLink syncs your Palm Desktop data with Outlook, connect your device to allow ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center to sync with your device.
How It Works - Sync via Google
CompanionLink will sync Palm Desktop contacts, calendar, and tasks* with your Google, Gmail, or Google Apps account. This data will then sync automatically and over-the-air with your Windows Mobile device courtesy of Google's free sync service. With our two-way sync, you have the freedom to edit information on your device, in your Google account, or in Palm Desktop.
*Google currently does not sync Google Tasks to Windows Mobile devices. More info

Getting Started
- Install CompanionLink on your PC and configure it with your Google username and password.
- Once configured, hit "Synchronize" and your data will sync between Google and your PC.
- Configure your Windows Mobile device to sync with your Google account (full instructions). Once configured, your device will continuously stay in sync with your Google account.

We use AES-256 bit encryption. CompanionLink does not host your data online; we simply sync information between Palm Desktop and your device.
CompanionLink installs on your PC and works together with a free app for your Windows Mobile device called DejaLink to complete the sync process.

Getting Started
- In the CompanionLink setup, create a new wireless account.
- Open DejaLink on the Windows Mobile device and enter your username and password here.
- On the PC, hit Synchronize. Once the PC has finished synchronizing, data will sync wirelessly to your device through DejaLink.
