it would be great, if it would be also possible to sync via WLAN, as the HP / Palm devices merely are wireless devices. Is there any plan to implement that, after Chapura and Companionlink did go bancrupt and hence are not offering any more software for that purpose?

Generally speaking, a US-based Palm Pre 2 should have access to the App Catalog. Do you know why yours doesn't?

As for the .ipk file, unfortunately I can't be of too much help. If you search around on Google, you might be able to find a 3rd party tool to help install an .ipk file. That said, I'd have to recommend looking into why the App Catalog isn't on your Pre 2 in the first place. Hopefully you'll be able to find something that helps in that case!

You are correct. In fact, I'd encourage you to try it out - we offer a free 14-day trial on all our products. Just visit http://www.companionlink.com/downloads/ and download CompanionLink for Palm Desktop. Then, follow the directions in our setup guide http://www.companionlink.com/support/kb/Setup_Guide_-_Sync_webOS_via_USB to get up and running.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Nilesh, I've looked into this and it appears our last correspondance with you was over the weekend. Typically, we have one or two techs in on the weekend, but the bulk of our team works during the week. As such, someone will be following up with your case today to continue troubleshooting and help you get everything up and running! If there's anything more I can do to help, let me know.

David, can you help me with CompanionLink Case# 245330?

This is a very similar problem as mentioned by Soltrance. I have spent last 3 days in getting my phone synced. Read all kinds of URLs on your website. But, still no luck.

Thanks,
Nilesh

Yes - you'd need CompanionLink Express 5 or CompanionLink Professional 5 as they both allow you more than 1 profile (aka device). You'd then sync the Pre to your PC (via USB to Outlook, Palm Desktop, etc) and the PC to the iPad. In this case, it's best to use the PC as your central "HUB" where you store your data. Take a look at http://www.companionlink.com/gettingstarted/ for some tips on setting up a proper sync for multiple devices.
If you have any other questions, just let me know!
