If Outlook closes when CompanionLink attempts a synchronization (either through auto-sync or manual sync), please make sure that Outlook is running 'as an administrator.'

For Windows 7 and earlier:

  1. Exit both CompanionLink and Outlook.
  2. Locate the Outlook icon. Right click on it.
  3. Select 'Properties.'
  4. Make sure that 'Run as administrator' is checked.

For Windows 8:

  1. Exit both CompanionLink and Outlook.
  2. Locate the Outlook icon. Right click on it.
  3. Select the 'Compatibility' tab.
  4. Make sure that 'Run this program as an administrator' is checked.

If Outlook continues to close when CompanionLink attempts a synchronization, please try rebooting your PC.
