Manually installing DejaOffice for BlackBerry Playbook and BlackBerry 10
These directions show you how to manually install DejaOffice (also known as sideloading) onto your PlayBook or BlackBerry 10 device. You’ll first save DejaOffice to your computer, then use another application to install it onto your device.
NOTE: DejaOffice is now available in BlackBerry World. Manual installation is no longer required!
1. Download and install the program ‘DDPB’ to your Windows PC from this link:

- (This program lets you install BAR files to your Playbook or BlackBerry 10 device)
2. On your PlayBook or BlackBerry 10 device:
- - Open the Settings menu > Security > Development Mode.
- - Turn Development Mode ‘On’.
- - Configure a password for the device.
- - Note the IP address listed here (for step #4).
3. Download the following file: DejaOfficeBB.bar – Remember where you save this file.
4. Connect the PlayBook or BlackBerry 10 device to the PC using the USB cable and open the DDPB program:
- - The program should automatically detect the device. It if doesn’t, click on ‘Scan’ to find the correct IP address. You will also need to enter the password you configured in Step #2.
- - At the top of the DDPB program, click on Add & navigate to the DejaOffice file you downloaded in Step #3.
- - Click to select the DejaOffice file
- - Click on ‘Install’ at the bottom of the program.
5. When the application is finished installing, click on ‘Done’ - and disconnect the device. You’re ready to use DejaOffice!
