  1. Log into Windows as an administrator.
  2. Connect your Android device to your PC.
  3. Download this file to your computer: DejaConnectADB.exe
  4. Once saved, double-click on the exe file to run the installer.
  5. Once the ADB drivers have been installed, open Windows Device Manager:
    • Right-click your Computer icon (or My Computer) and choose Manage.
    • In the Computer Management window, click Device Manager in the left window pane.
  6. Locate your Android device in the list. It should display with a yellow warning, indicating that its driver is not installed:

  7. Update the driver for your device:
    • Right-click your device and choose Properties.
    • Go to the Driver tab.
    • Click Update Driver...
    • Select Browse my computer for driver software
    • Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
    • Click Have Disk...
    • Click Browse...
    • Browse to the universal_adb_driver folder that you extracted in step 4.
    • Select the android_winusb.inf file and click Open.
    • Click Next, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
  8. Disconnect and reconnect your Android device. Windows should automatically detect and load the driver.
