Using DejaOffice PC CRM Filter, Sort, and Group Options

DejaOffice PC CRM has multiple Search, Filter, Sort and Group options in each Data Type (IE. Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, etc.). These options can be applied to limit the displayed data, Sort based on a specific field, and/or Group records according to your preference. Most of these Filter\Sort and Group options can be used in tandem.

Search

In DPC you can get to the Search either using the Magnifying Glass in the top right or you can just start Typing to bring up search.

  1. Filter by Field: - Pressing the Tab Key cycles between the different Search Filter, such as Name\Company, Name\Company\Notes, All Fields, etc. The filter will limit the search to the selected fields.



Contacts

  1. Contact Sort: - Contacts can be Sorted by Last Name, First Name, File As, Company, Nickname, City, Custom 1, Modified Date, and Create Date. To Sort Contacts, select Contacts in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose Sort By. Selecting the same Sort By option again changes between Ascending\Descending Order.
  2. Contact Group: - Contacts can be Grouped by Company, Category, City, City and Zip, Country, Country and Zip, and Custom 1. To Group Contacts, select Contacts in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose Group By.
  3. Category Filter: - To filter Contacts by "Category", select the Category Filter Icon in the top Tool bar or select the 3 bars ion the right and choose Category Filter. Here you can select a single or multiple categories to filter, all calendar records not in the selected Category\Categories will be hidden until the filter is removed.
  4. Advanced Query Filter: - To create and use "Advanced Query Filters", Click Here for more information.
  5. User Filter (DPCP - Multi-User Only): - When DPCP is in Multi-User mode, sign into to a DPC User, choose Contacts, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose "Users". Here you can select which DPCP Users' records you would like to view.
  • Note: For Grid Views click the Column Header for Sort.








Calendar

  1. Category Filter: - To filter Events by "Category", select the Category Filter Icon in the top Tool bar or select the 3 bars ion the right and choose Category Filter. Here you can select a single or multiple categories to filter, all calendar records not in the selected Category\Categories will be hidden until the filter is removed.
  2. Calendar Group (List View Only): - Select the 3 bars in the right and choose Group By. You can group calendar records by "Category" or "Location".
  3. Calendar Sort (Grid View Only): - Calendar records can be sorted by any column added in the Grid View by selecting the Column at the top of the Grid. Selecting the same Sort By option again changes between Ascending\Descending Order.
  4. User Filter (DPCP - Multi-User Only): - When DPCP is in Multi-User mode, sign into to a DPC User select the 3 bars in the top right in any Calendar view and choose "Users". Here you can select which DPCP Users' records you would like to view.
  • Note: For Grid Views click the Column Header for Sort.











Tasks

  1. Task Sort: - Tasks can be Sorted by Location, Category, Due Date, Start Date, Priority, or Status. To Sort Tasks, select Tasks in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose Sort By. Selecting the same Sort By option again changes between Ascending\Descending Order.
  2. Task Group: - Tasks can be Grouped by Subject, Priority, Status, Due Date, Start Date, Alarm Date, Percent Complete, Category, Project, Most Recent, or Create Date . To Group Tasks, select Tasks in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose Group By.
  3. Show Active - Show Active allows you to Hide or Show Open Tasks due in the future (or with no due date) in the list. To set a date range for Active tasks, select Tasks in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose "Show Active". There are different options for how many days of Future/Active tasks to display. You can also set open tasks with "No Due Date" to show/hide here.
  4. Show Past Due - Show Past Due allows you to Hide or Show Overdue Tasks in the list. To show\hide Overdue tasks, select Tasks in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose "Show Past Due". There are different options for how many days of Past/Overdue tasks to display.
  5. Show Completed - Show Completed allows you to Hide or Show completed Tasks in the list. To show\hide completed tasks, select Tasks in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose "Show Completed". There are different options for how many days of Completed Tasks to display.
  6. Category Filter: - To filter Tasks by "Category", select the Category Filter Icon in the top Tool bar or select the 3 bars ion the right and choose Category Filter. Here you can select a single or multiple categories to filter, all Task records not in the selected Category\Categories will be hidden until the filter is removed.
  7. User Filter (DPCP - Multi-User Only): - When DPCP is in Multi-User mode, sign into to a DPC User, choose Tasks, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose "Users". Here you can select which DPCP Users' records you would like to view.

Memos

  1. Memo Sort: - Memos can be sorted by Subject, Category, Created Date and Last Modified. To Sort memos, select Memos in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose Sort By. Selecting the same Sort By option again changes between Ascending\Descending Order.
  2. Memo Group: - Memos can be grouped by Category and Created Date. To Group memos, select Memos in DPC, select the 3 bars in the top right and choose Group By.
  3. Category Filter: - To filter Memos by "Category", select the Category Filter Icon in the top Tool bar or select the 3 bars ion the right and choose Category Filter. Here you can select a single or multiple categories to filter, all Memo records not in the selected Category\Categories will be hidden until the filter is removed.
