Error: Please open the Act database at least once in the current version of ACT to convert it to the current version

You may see an error message: Please open the ACT! database at least once in the current version of ACT! to convert it to the current version.

This is due to certain files that ACT! uses which were changed/removed/corrupted when a version of Symantec (including the Norton Anti-Virus products) software was installed on your PC. Unfortunately below is the only fix for this issue:

1. Uninstall Act.

2. Uninstall your Norton software.

3. Reinstall Act.

4. Do not reinstall Norton.
