Try port 25 with SSL enabled for SMTP. Google suggests this on this page in the “Still Can’t Send Mail” section: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78775?hl=en

Companion Link still cannot open Outlook 2013. After Companion Link then recommends repair of Outlook 2013, Companion Link is still unable to deal with “Field Mapping” and “Outlook Folders’ in the setup. If you skip the setup and you simply “Sync” Companion Link without trying to set up the fields mentioned, it still stumbles on its inability to open Outlook 2013. Then after you repair “Outlook 2013” again, Companion Link stumbles and says it has to close.
Unfortunately, their online support doesn’t even provide a courtesy message of “we’re working on it” after two emails sent with all the screen shots of the error messages. What’s with them – is this actually a good product for Outlook 2013 syncing?
